  • 1-2 p.m. Welcome and University presentation, EMU Student Center Ballroom
    This presentation provides an informative overview of services and programs offered to you as an EMU student.
  • 2:10-2:45 p.m. Academic Life, EMU Student Center Ballroom
    This session provides you with tips on navigating through academic life at EMU.
  • 2:45-3 p.m. Break
  • 3-3:40 p.m.Supporting Your Students , for families/guests, EMU Student Center Auditorium
    This session will give families and guests information on how to assist and support your student as they transition into EMU.
  • 3-3:40 p.m.Student Small Group Time , for students, EMU Student Center various locations
    Get to know your Transfer Student Orientation Assistant (TSOA) and other EMU transfer students, as well as discuss your transition into EMU.
  • 3:40-5 p.m.Library and classroom tour , Departs from EMU Student Center Ballroom

Optional Activities

  • 5-8 p.m. Eaglepalooza and Dinner , EMU Student Center
    Take care of last minute business and enjoy live entertainment, interactive activities and great meal choices, accompanied by resource tables ranging from Financial Aid to Academic Advising. You can pick up your course confirmation, check out Commuter Central, buy your books and first pair of EMU sweats, and visit great campus resources like Health Education, Athletics, Diversity and Community Involvement, the Holman Learning Center and Career Services. In addition, have your picture taken for your Eagle One Id card and purchase a parking hang tag.
  • 8:45-10:15 p.m. Playfair! , Bowen Fieldhouse
    Playfair! is totally unlike anything you have ever experienced. It’s described as the world’s largest mixer — more than just an entertainment event — an icebreaker extraordinaire.
